Therapist for anxiety, therapist for childhood trauma for adults struggling with relationship issues, healthy relationships, trauma treatment, licensed therapist with 15 years of experience

My Practice As a psychotherapist and a practice owner, I emphasize creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment to explore with you what might be getting in the way of leading the life you want. This starts by feeling safe and understood in the therapeutic relationship. From there we will look at problematic patterns in your history that may be contributing to the difficulties you are having today. This typically comes up in an organic way when we talk about your day-to-day life.

My style is to be curious, reflective, and to ask you the hard questions to help you examine things in your life and gain some fresh perspective. My mission as a therapist is to promote healing, self-awareness, self-compassion and to empower you to go out there and live the life you want!

Background & Experience I am a graduate of Smith College School for Social Work. My training is in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and trauma responsive care. I have over 15 years of experience as a therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. In my career I have also been a clinical supervisor, mentor, and non-profit administrator in leadership positions. I create clinical trainings for therapists and other mental health professionals, and I have led the process of accrediting a large mental health organization. People I work with have typically experienced emotional pain from past relationships or childhood, and find themselves struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, overthinking, perfectionism or trust issues. This is hard stuff to process and you don’t have to do it alone.

Therapy can help you process and heal from deep wounds, whether it’s from abuse, neglect, or traumatic life events. If you’re ready to feel more grounded and confident, know yourself better, understand your emotions, and learn healthier ways to cope and to care for yourself, therapy offers a safe space for you to explore your experiences and work through them at your own pace. It’s about freeing yourself from old patterns that no longer serve you and creating a life you want where you can heal, grow, and rediscover trust in yourself and others.
